The forecast heat forced the withdrawal of several hounds, but in fact it didn't turn out quite as hot as feared.

Half the walk was in the woods and was enjoyed by all, especially I have to say, by young Monty just four years old who managed to get round most of the five miles on his own feet. Well done to him.

Kamila and Marcin's Molly disgraced herself by rolling in some unmentionable heap of . . . but fortunately she was washed off in a Stourhead pond - not by The Leader I should say - before reaching the car home.
