Ruby and Bobby (+ Callum)
(Below) Melody watchful for a scrap as ever
Sadly three of our group - all ladies and all from around Chudleigh - assured me they set off laden with hounds and other assorted dogs to the beautiful village of Cerne Abbas, but for a variety of reasons - low on fuel, set the SatNav wrong - failed either to arrive at all or got here too late.
So only five Bassets plus a couple of diminutive Dachshunds started and indeed finished the six mile stroll around the valleys and hills. And we had a most enjoyable cream tea - some mastered two scones - while chips - I ask you - seemed favoured amongst the rest.
The only excitement was when we came across a fallen electric fence that I thought was dead, till poor Melody proved otherwise: never seen her move so fast. |
