A beautiful day and lovely walk amongst the bluebells was cunningly engineered by Our Leader Malcolm accompanied by his thoughtful Lola (below).
Some 17½ Bassets - the half being Shadow a 4 yr old Harlequin Gt Dane/Basset Hound amalgamation - ambled steeply at times up the Drew river gorge through bounteous bluebells to then mount up to glorious views over Dartmoor.
Humphrey and George made their usual presence felt to one and all over a wide area. Age has not seemed to quieten them. Mary's collection of terriers did not start their usual chase for some reason. Lunch and delicious ice cream was partaken at the Castle Drogo tea shop before we gently descended to the admirably placed Fingle Bridge Inn by the river. And yes real ale was quaffed.

Coffee stop
Andy (imitating, I think Humphrey or George) & Mandy. And what a joy it was to hear them again. And again.
