Another beautiful day attracted some 21 hounds + a varied assortment of labs and collies to Otterton led by Mike and Jackie making a most welcome return to The Living after a long illness. They led us via some smelly rolls down to the river Otter where a surprising number splashed, nay wallowed, in the stream to the delight and surprise of their owners.
It was pleasant to record a number of gentle ups along the coast belying the falsehood that only the writer leads up hills - but the day was too gorgeous to complain. Lunch was taken overlooking distant blue views of Portland and possibly France if only it had been a bit flatter - and nearer.
The walk finished agreeably at the King's Arms - where some well-earned alcoholic beverages were consumed.
