Burnham remains the most popular walk in our calendar and despite the increasingly foul weather some 36 Hounds braved the elements.

Most of us never got beyond the pier fish and chip shop, but at least we did all have a good natter at the start.

Thanks to Covid many of us had not met for two years or longer so it was good to see the return of some old faces with new puppies and agree that having a Basset Hound remains the best way of staying sane and sometimes cheerful.

It would have been nice to relate that The Pack stayed together, but it's always the way on this stretched out walk. So I return to my plea that "proper" walks in the country are far more enjoyable, as we can all remain as a group. Ah well, see you later in the year, I hope.
