Baset Hound walkers Stonehenge
Stonehenge

Now for something different. Here's a new walk for us led by Dawn & Brian, not forgetting Henry, from Pewsey who will lead us up to The Stones. We start from the Woodhenge car park which is accessed off the A345 north of Amesbury. The postcode is SP4 7AR. There is a car park but parking is also available along the road.

As you can see it is pretty flat and will run to about five miles.

Walkers should take their own refreshments as there isn't a pub en route although the Stonehenge Inn is just up the road from the start/finish. Dawn says "We thought we could stop for a sandwich by Stonehenge which is about half way round. There will be plenty of opportunity for people to take photos and have photos taken of their Hounds by enthusiastic tourists!"

There are a few water troughs dotted about but suggest people take their own bowls and water just in case they're empty. There may be some sheep at some point on the way round.

A map will be up here in due course. Start 10.30am.

PS Wearing woad is not obligatory.
