Baset Hound Walkers Tipton St John
Our 118th walk in June will take us back to Tipton St John last walked two years ago. Leader Andrew says we will walk to Ottery St Mary, have a packed lunch at St Saviours Bridge, and return along the River Otter to the Golden Lion pub for those that would like to.

The walk is gentle, with only one small hill, and mostly flat along the banks of the river. There is hardly any lanes/roads to navigate, with most of the walk on bridle ways or footpaths. Good shoes will be needed, but as it is summer, wellies won't be needed.

The walk has lovely views approaching Ottery St Mary, and you never know, we may see an otter or two!

Start at 10.30 as usual.
We start from the sports field car park (SatNav EX10 0AA)opposite the garage at Tipton St John. The village is two miles south of Ottery St Mary. It's a small village with one pub, one garage, one primary school and one sports field.

Tipton

There is a pub at the start/finish in Tipton St John called the Golden Lion. They have outside seating but stop serving food at 2pm so everyone will need to bring food to avoid going hungry!

Distance around five miles.
