Let's all go to the seaside. Maybe the Paignton Riviera in February is not quite the south of France, but still worth the trip I am sure. This new venue is being led by Gay & Mary who must know every pebble on the beach, but the walk will be new to me and maybe most of the pack.
The route is described as being from Goodrington to Broadsands, Elberry Cove to Churston Common and return (part of the South West coastal walk).
Meet at Goodrington Sands Car Park 10.30am. (Parking is free). Adjacent to the new Premier Inn (TQ4 6LP)
Turn LEFT at this junction to the car park
Directions:
From north – A38 carriageway to slip road for Totnes & Paignton. Through Totnes following signs for Paignton ( or Paignton Zoo tourist signs) pass Zoo on brow of hill turn right, continue until this road joins the main road into Brixham. Turn right at the traffic lights near the Torbay Leisure Centre (postcode for satnav TQ4 5JR) then immediately left in Tanners Road, this brings you straight into the car park for the beach.

From south –
Follow A38 from Plymouth towards Exeter take slip road for Totnes – then directions as above.
The walk will start from Goodrington sands, up and over towards Broadsands beach and on to Elberry Cove. We continue through the woods over Churston Golf Course (public footpath – dogs on leads) back to Broadsands beach and return to Goodrington sands. The distance is a good 5 miles. Young hounds and the not-so-fit owners can at any time break off and return the way they have come.
Any queries to the walk leaders here please.
